The family finds its roots in a lost, unknown typeface widely used in Vietnamese printing during the early 1900s. By modernizing these historical letterforms, Folktails brings a classic yet fantasy-filled feeling, capturing a unique Vietnamese editorial spirit that is both mysterious and inviting.

Characterized by fine, sharp serifs and tight tracking, the typeface stands out with its playful, "tail-like" terminals, most noticeable in the characters 'a', 'f', and 's'. It also borrows a subtle touch of Art Nouveau elegance in the middle bars of 'E' and 'F', giving the letters a more organic and flexible structure. These intricate details fully reveal their visual impact at large sizes, making Folktails ideal for headlines and display layouts that need a touch of mystique.
