Built from a simple geometric formal repertoire, Bonto is an expressive display typeface that comes in four styles. Directly inspired by our childhood games, the idea of this typeface was to create the most expressive typeface with the most simple shapes. Like lego or puzzle games, the letters come together in a contrasting combination of right angles and roundness. Bonto is designed to encourage play and experimentation through typographic composition. Several alternative glyphs can help the designer find the right combination. The alternative glyphs "e", "s" and "z" behave like descenders passing under the baseline, allowing for variations in the reading rhythm. In its black style, Bonto can be similar to a domino game, while the regular brings out the contrast of the round counter-forms. Bonto is best used large and playful, perfect for creating impactful and user-friendly designs
