Information

Darker Script is a conceptual super heavy slab display font. Its first design was drafted during Antonio's studies at ECAL, Switzerland. Due to its sheer powerfulness, this heavy slab display font is extremely useful when used to emphasis titles and small piece of text alike.

The whole concept of Darker Script is to find a sweet balance between the heaviest glyph possible while retaining enough light in the counter shapes to remain legible. As such, the glyph shapes have been enhanced and drawn with extremely black forms, heavy slabs and subsequently carved with small white &light interventions which make the letters readable in the “darkness”.

Due to its super small counter shapes, Darker Script has a very tight spacing. This creates a playful modular system made by the use of combinations of shapes. Due to short ascenders and descenders the font allows the user to make very compact headline and titling with a powerful visual.

This font family will make wonder in any layout looking to have a powerful impact, strong visual language through type layout. It will be an amazing asset to use on headlines and titles alike across any mediums looking to be remembered.
